Kristoff Simons

Kristoff obtained his Master of Laws at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in 1992.

That same year, Kristoff took the oath at the Dutch-language Brussels Bar and began his career as a lawyer at a Brussels niche firm.

In 2005, as partner, he laid the foundations of the firm in Vilvoorde, which after a merger in 2023 continues under the name FAIRWAY, of which he is managing partner.

He is also an accredited mediator in family matters.

Kristoff teaches the foundation course in mediation and the specialisation module in family mediation at the New Deal Academy. He is also a lecturer in conflict management, negotiation and mediation at the University of Antwerp.

Since early 2025, he has been Chairman of the Special Commission on Youth & Mediation within the Federal Mediation Commission. He also serves as local ombudsman at the Mediation Service for Disputes between Consumers and Lawyers (OCA/LIGECA) of the Orde van Vlaamse Balies.

With his many years of expertise, he is a much-sought-after speaker on conflict management, negotiation, mediation and family law matters.

Kristoff specialises in mediation, conflict management, family law and succession law and estate planning.
