Jorden Wouters

Lawyer | Senior Counsel

Jorden studied at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, where he obtained his degree in law in 1986. He took the oath that same year.

From February 2026, Jorden strengthens the team of FAIRWAY as Senior Counsel, where he continues to focus, as a lawyer and mediator, on his established areas of expertise.

With over forty years of experience at the Bar, Jorden Wouters is an established authority in dispute resolution, legal advice and contract negotiation.

Since 2008, he has been an accredited mediator in civil and commercial matters, followed shortly thereafter by accreditation as a mediator in social and employment matters. In 2021 and 2022, he completed additional training in collaborative negotiation, familiarising himself with the methodology of collaborative law. At the end of 2022, he was one of the founders of Arbitrall, an organisation that places mediation and arbitration at the heart of its approach to conflict resolution.

His expertise in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) has led him to serve since 2016 as local ombudsman for the Dutch-language Order of Lawyers at the Brussels Bar at Ligeca, the Mediation Service for Consumer Disputes in Legal Matters, where he mediates in disputes between consumers and lawyers. Since 2020, he has been a regular presence within the ADR committee of the Orde van Vlaamse Balies, and since 2025 he has served there as deputy chief ombudsman.

Jorden specialises in social law, business and contract law, and mediation.
